This was one of Joelle's patients as well.
The family had got a cocker spaniel. Around 18 months, he started getting fits of aggressivity and was starting to get rough with the kids. There had never been anything like this before, but he was so aggressive that the family just wanted rid of him.
The fits came on randomly and you could see this otherwise happy go lucky spaniel freeze, his gaze intent on something nobody else could see, the fear in his eyes and suddenly he would snap into aggression mode. The family were nervous not only for themselves but also for the kids, because once in aggression mode, nothing could stop him and the kids were still very young. The family made the impossible decision, he had to go, one way or another.
Joelle knew things about homeopathy and brought him to me. We started by teaching them how to deal with this... as there was an aura to it, and they could see it a few minutes before the mood snapped, I suggested they isolate him in the kitchen or somewhere nobody had to go to straight away until it blew over, so that nobody would get hurt.
Meanwhile, I went over the information the family had given and it became obvious... "gaze intent or something nobody else could see..." and what if the spaniel was having hallucinations? I gave him one of the hallucinatory remedies and 3 years later, the spaniel was still living at home. I taught them how and when to dose and it was fine. With time, the fits grew larger apart until they disappeared completely.
